In 2016, Calyxo supplied 17 megawatts of solar panels to France

The thin-film solar panels manufacturer Calyxo GmbH supplied solar modules with a total output of 17 megawatts (MW) for two solar systems in South France.
About 206,000 solar modules of the CX3 series have undertook the journey from the Solar Valley, Bitterfeld-Wolfen, to the south of France. On an area of more than 15 hectare two ground mounted systems with a total capacity of 17 megawatts (MW) have been created. One of the projects is a 1-axis tracked photovoltaic system.
The decision to use thin-film solar modules was based on the complete production Made in Germany, the above-average yields and the low CO2 footprint in the production.
Due to the lower temperature coefficient, Calyxo modules produce more energy than comparable solar modules at temperatures above 25°C. As a result of the performance advantage, Calyxo solar systems produce up to 9% more energy a year compared to competing PV systems with the same performance
